Graveside services for Lena Sulser Jackson Boyles of Tyler, Texas will be held Saturday June 25, 2011 at 2pm in Tyler Memorial Park with the Reverend Mike Corb fficiating the service.

Lena went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2011 in Tyler.

She was born Sept. 23, 1916, in Noonday, Texas and was the last surviving sibling of Marcus Fern and Laura Elizabeth Sulser.

She graduated from Noonday School and was a homemaker for many years of her life.

Lena was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church Century Class, Tyler Woman's Forum, Bluebonnet Garden Club and Camellia Club. As a member of the Woodmen of the World for more than 50 years, she became the first women appointed to the National Fraternal Committee and held this and other fraternal posts for 12 years. She later established and operated "Jackson's Countree Shoppee," a ladies apparel shop for more than 13 years. She then went on to become a member of the Tyler Area Senior Citizen's Association, which she served as a board member for three years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Greene B. Jackson (48 years) and John Boyles (2 years).

She is survived by her son Royce Jackson and wife Linda, grandson Eric Jackson and wife Shelly, granddaughter Melissa Hurst and husband Steven. She had three great-grandchildren, Hunter and Haley Jackson, Blake Hurst and numerous relatives and friends.

She will be remembered by those who knew her for her friendly smile, for her love of life and for her desire to help in times of need.

Arrangements are under the care of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, Tyler, Texas.
