Joseph G. Leffler, 68, former judge of the Delaware County Circuit Court, long a prominent Muncie attorney, died at 3:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon in Ball Memorial Hospital apparently from the effects of poisoning. He was found in a serious condition in the bathroom of his home by his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Anthony, and was immediately rushed to the hospital where efforts to restore him were unsuccessful.

Judge Leffler had been in impaired health for the past two years. The body was removed to the Meeks mortuary and will be taken to the residence, 822 West Charles street this morning. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the First Baptist Church, the body is to lie in state at the church for one hour preceding the services. The judge was a member of the board of deacons of the First Baptist Church.

The widow, Mrs. Laura Emerson Leffler, to whom he was married in 1890, survives. Paul E. Leffler, prosecuting attorney of Delaware County, is a son. Mrs. Raymond Schuster and Mrs. Ruth Anthony, daughters, Harve Leffler, a brother, and four grandchildren, also of Muncie, survive. Mrs. Anthony is the widow of the late Dr. Harvey Mitchell Anthony whose death occurred a year ago.
