Walter Elmo (Waddle)Hendrick, 91, of Rt. 3, Lynchburg, formerly of Rustburg, died at 2:5 a.m. Thursday in Lynchburg General Hospital following a short illness.
Born in Campbell County, he was a son of the late William E. Hendrick and Susie Marsh Hendrick. He was a retired farmer and attended Providence United Methodist Church.
He is survivied by a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Whitten Part Avenue Chapel, with burial in Fort Hill Memorial Part.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, and other times at the home of a great-niece, Mrs. James H. Campbell, Jr., Rt. 3, Lynchburg.
