Vince was a member of First Baptist Church and a proud member of Gideons International, Salem-Craig County. He was blessed with the kindness and love of his niece, Tammy Breiner and her family, as well as his sister, Linda Campbell. He was a life-long member of the Republican Party who relished the opportunity to debate others and offer his thoughts in letters to the editor in local newspapers. He loved the Roanoke Valley and his home, where he tended his gardens and enjoyed the company of outstanding neighbors. Vince spent his career in newspaper circulation management. His career stretched from the Youngstown (Ohio) Vindicator to the Palo Alto (Calif.) Times to the Houston Post to the Amarillo Globe-News. He has a BS in Business Administration from Youngstown State University. He joins his beloved wife of 43 years, Jeanne, who passed before him in 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents, H. Vincent and Helen Golle. Survivors include his sons, Vince III and wife, Larianne of Edgewater, Md., and Eric, his wife, Tara and grandsons, Luke and Zach of Frisco, Texas. The family wishes to thank the special family of First Baptist Church and the Gideons, as well as his care providers at Richfield Rehabilitation Facility and Lewis-Gale Hospital. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
