Mary W. Meeks, who formerly resided at 424 E. Washington, and recently was a resident of Westminster Village, died Sunday at Ball Hospital. A native of Muncie, she was the daughter of Martin L. and Carrie Clark Meeks. She graduated from Muncie High School and later attended Western College at Oxford, Ohio.
Miss Meeks was a member of High Street Methodist Church, High Street Flower Mission, and Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Loren D. (Frances) Ford, Bellevue, Wash.; a nephew, David Meeks, Muncie; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Charles E. (Lillian) Meeks and Mrs. Arthur C. (Nellie) Meeks, also of Muncie; and many grand-nieces and nephews, and great-grand-nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at Meeks Mortuary 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and any time before the services Wednesday.
