Friends may call at Meeks Mortuary after 4 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the mortuary chapel by the Rev. Tom Hodson and burial will be made in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Meeks is survived by his wife, Lillian; a sister, Miss Mary W. Meeks; two brothers, Arthur C. and Ernest S. Meeks; a nephew, David M. Meeks, and a niece, Mrs. L.D. Ford of The Dalles, Ore.
He was born in Muncie, the son of Martin L. and Carrie Clark Meeks, and had always resided here. He was married June 11, 1947, in London, to Miss Lillian M. Jones. He was a member of Muncie Masonic bodies and the Scottish Rite and the Shrine at Indianapolis, the High Street Methodist Church and Muncie lodge of Elks.
Mr. Meeks had been a semi-invalid since August, 1955, when he suffered a broken hip in a fall at Hollywood, Fla.
