Mrs. Dovie Reynolds Hendrick, 72, of 1012 Oakley Ave, died at 2 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of three weeks. She was the widow of John Robert Hendrick.
Born in Campbell County, she was the daughter of John Andrew and Sallie Phillips Reynolds.
Mrs. Hendrick was a member of Fairview Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Christine Hendrick Monrote of Washington D.C. and Mrs. Vernon E. Creasy of Lynchburg; three sons, Carlton L. and Robert W. Hendrick of Lynchburg and Arthur R. Hendrick of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Elwood Schmidt and Mrs. Aubrey Lawrence of Lynchburg and Mrs. Pearl Coleman of Madison Heights; two brothers, Archer and Leonard Reynolds of Lynchburg; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Fauber Virginia Funeral Cahpel. Burial will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
Members of the family will be at the home of 1017 Oakley Ave.
