James W. Davis

Services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Earnheart Funeral Chapel for James W. Davis, 73, a retired construction worker who died at 4:15 a.m. Friday at a Sherman hospital. Burial was in the Whitewright City Cemetery.

Mr. Davis was born July 1, 1898. He married Miss Ruby Taylor on April 19, 1928, at Honey Grove. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Survivors include his wife of Whitewright; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Benniger of Bedford; a brother, Simon Davis of Bonham; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Burk and Mrs. Cynthia Hughes, both of Boswell, Okla. and two grandchildren.
