A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Allen Sr. and Corrie Bell Allen. He retired from Minette Mills after 40 years of service as a loom technician. He was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church and the Bethany Coffee Club. He was a veteran of the Air Force, 20th division, 1370 Military Police Company in Guam.
Funeral: Friday, Sept. 25, 2 p.m., Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel
Visitation: The family will receive friends Friday, 12 to 2 p.m., before the service, at the funeral home.
