Charles E. Stoddard, US Army Veteran of Korea, beloved husband of Anita; loving father of Mark (Kimberly), Keith (Kimberly), and Stuart (Mary); devoted grandfather of Christopher, Eric, Lindsay, Claire, Ian, Nicholas, and Benjamin; dear brother of Irma Ferenc; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan Turner Stoddard; his sisters and brothers Lucille Pierce, Margaret Winkleman, Lauren Stoddard, August Stoddard, Ella Mae Robertson and Earl Stoddard. Visitation will be at the Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home 7715 West Route 14 Crystal Lake, IL on Monday May 16, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of Service 11:00 AM. Officiating Rev. Arn Schaper. Internment at Crystal Lake Memorial Park. Memorial to the Alzheimer Association Appreciated. Charles was employed as a Mechanical Engineer by American Can in Barrington for 35 years and also served our country proudly in Korea War in the US Army. He enjoyed woodcarving and travel.
