Mrs. Maude King Dies In Hospital Here Tuesday

Mrs. Maude Alma King, 86, mother of Mrs. Faye Wilson, Bill and Monroe King of Childress, died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday in Childress General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. King was born February 8, 1878, in Stone County, Ark. and married M. M. King November 11, 1893, in Paris.

The Kings came her in 1925 from Northfield.

Mr. King preceded her in death November 11, 1947 in Childress.

Survivors include four sons, Bill and Monroe of Childress, John King of Dublin, Frank King of of Lubbock; four daughters, Mrs. Wilson of Childress, Mrs. Edna Allen of Los Angelas, Calif., Mrs. Beatrice Norman of Escondido, Calif., Mrs. Beulah Kilpatick of Gerhard, two brothers, Ed Lancaster of Atwood, Okla., and Will Lancaster of Fayettville, Ark; two sisters, Mrs Beulah Pence of Allen, Okla, and Mrs. Faye Gash of California; 29 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted by Lloyd McIntosh of Seymour Assembly of God and Rev. Don Connor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Childress at 2 p.m. Thursday in Newberry Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jack Norman, W. C. Voyles, Troy Wilson, Mike Wilson, Keith Hester and Nolan Thomas.

Interment will be in Childress cemetery under the direction of Newberry Funeral Home.
