Services for Ruby L. Campbell-Fields, 58, Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. C.W. Hood and Elder Noel Caldwell officiating.

Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery under direction of Brooks-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mrs. Fields died Nov. 6, 2007, in Tyler.

She was born Feb. 12, 1949, in Swan Community. She attended Emmett J. Scott High School, Tyler Junior College, and Richard & Joseph Beauty School. She was a lifelong resident of Smith County and owned Fields Photo. She was a member of Greater Hopewell Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, was in Senior Choir, a deaconess, announcing clerk and director of the drill team. She was a member and secretary of Heroines of Jericho, L.A. Seals Court No. 527, and former dean of Hopewell Central District Sunday School and BTU Congress.

She was preceded in death by her father, B.C. Campbell, and sister, Evelyn Isadore.

Survivors include her husband, Nathaniel Fields Sr., Tyler; son, Nathaniel Fields Jr., Tyler; mother, Ann Campbell, Tyler; brothers, Willie Campbell, Alfred Ray Campbell, Herbert Campbell, Timothy Campbell and Ronnie Campbell, all of Tyler, Steve Campbell and Earl Campbell, both of Austin; sisters, Martha Nell Evans and Margaret Campbell, both of Tyler; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Dwight Evans, Steven Evans, Tyler Campbell, Austin Campbell, Reginald Starks, James M. Starks, Tommy Caldwell, Quintus Fields, Keith Fields and Dwight Evans.

Deacons of Greater Hopewell Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Family will receive friends 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at funeral home.
