Sydney Layne Sanders, 14, died on April 5, 2011, at her residence. Sydney was a 9th grade student at Richmond Hill High School where she played Varsity and Junior Varsity softball. She was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was last year's 8th grade homecoming queen. She attended The Lake Church in Bloomingdale. She had a smile that would light up the world and your heart. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jo Ellen Lane. Survivors: her mother, Laura Lane of Richmond Hill; sister, Caleigh Kessler of Richmond Hill; grandfather, Lee Lane of Richmond Hill; four uncles, Perry Keen of Richmond Hill, Mark (Becky) Keen of Brooklet, Timmy (Cathy) Lane of Midway and Michael Lane of Savannah; and numerous cousins.
