Services will be Saturday afternoon in Springfield for Roger Claude Bolt, 22, who was killed in a logging accident Tuesday.
Bolt was killed when an alder leaning against a fir he felled apparently snapped back and hit him in the head.
He had been working southwest of Springfield, at the South Sisters Creek operation of the D. W. King Logging Co., of Lowell.
Bolt lived at 340 N. 26th St., Springfield. He was born in Cottage Grove and had lived in the Emerald Empire most of his life.
Survivors include his parents, Lonnie Bolt of Aniston, Ala., and Gladys Anderson of Springfield; brothers, David and Randy of Springfield, and Rex of Roseburg; and sisters Wanda Bolt of Springfield and Christine Hadley of Prineville.
He is also survived by grandparents and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Burns-
Fredericksen Funeral Home in Springfield. Concluding services and interment will be at Springfield Memorial.

Bolt of Roseburg; 2 sisters: Christine J. Hadley of Prineville, Wanda I. Bolt of Springfield; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. David Bolt of Aniston, Alabama, Mrs. Nancy Marcus of Pleasant Hill; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Burns-Fredericksen Funeral Home, Springfield, Saturday, August 10th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Glenn E. Patterson officiating. Concluding services and interment Springfield Memorial Cemetery.
