Niles, Ruby Felhauer, 81, died Saturday at Pawating Hospital, following an illness of two months.
A member of the Eastern Star, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Felhauer was born Jan. 17, 1896 in Niles, and had lived here her lifetime. On April 4, 1915 in Niles, she married Albert Felhauer, who died July 18, 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Virgil of South Bend and LeRoy of Niles; a daughter, Mrs. Philip (Edith)Hopper of Osceola, Ind.; a brother, Clarence Horner of Niles; a sister, Mrs. Luelle Deditch of LaPorte, Ind.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were to be at 3 p.m. today at the Pifer Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Cunningham of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. (The Niles Daily Star, p. 2 – Niles, MI – 19 December 1977)
