Graveside services were held Monday, June 2, in the Aiguier Cemetery in Hopkins County. Pastor Melvin Sample officiated. Burial followed under the direction of Delta Funeral Home.
She was born April 10, 1942, in Hopkins County, the daughter of Charlie Floyd and Era Evelyn Johnson Benefield. She was married to James O. Watkins and was a homemaker and doll maker. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Cooper.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Rex Benefield and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, James O. Watkins; a brother, William Floyd Benefield of Cooper; a sister, Betty Guffy of Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.
