Funeral services for Mr. Charles Jefferson Riser will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2005 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Terry Barnes and Father Adrian Fisher. Interment will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery near Farmerville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. Riser was born on January 26, 1922 and passed away on November 22, 2005.

During his tenure at the U.S. Postal Service in Monroe, he was an officer for the National Association of Letter Carriers. He also served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son: Charles Jefferson Riser, III.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years: Mrs. Dorothy McGough Riser; son: Gene McGough and wife Carolyn; grandchildren: Deneen Bush, DeAnna McGough, Christina Oglesbee and Julia Riser; host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ivan Greene, Tom Greene, Steven Brisco, Paul Brisco, Clint Russell, Alden T. Shotwell and Scott Oglesbee. Honorary pallbearers will be fellow letter carriers.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Ouachita Council on Aging, church or charity of the donor's choice.

Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2005 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
