Curtis was the son of Bennie Minnis Amox and Rosie Lenora Muckleroy. He married first Gwen Marshall in 1956. He married second Peggy Darlene Shelton.

He was a volunteer for the Chandler Center and the Nutrition Center. He retired from both the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 25 years of service and the Southwest Research Center. He was also a member of the San Antonio Rose Society and an active member of the V.F.W.

(Obituary) Shows son Richard Wright (probably Peggy's) and his wife Gloria, Universal City, Tx, daughter, Judy Wright, San Antonio, Tx and Pamela Mosman and Husband Tom, Wylie, Tx. Also listed grandchildren. Memorial mass held Sat. 11-18-1995 at 12 noon at St Luke's Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Ragsdale officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials were asked to be sent to AALS Association, 2389 N.W. Military Hwy. Ste. 500, San Antonio, Tx 78231 or the charity of choice. (From Sunset Funeral Home)
