He was a volunteer for the Chandler Center and the Nutrition Center. He retired from both the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 25 years of service and the Southwest Research Center. He was also a member of the San Antonio Rose Society and an active member of the V.F.W.

Also listed grandchildren. Memorial mass held Sat. 11-18-1995 at 12 noon at St Luke's Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Ragsdale officiating.
