James Frank Presley was born in June 1872 in Pickens county Georgia and died on January 28, 1925 in Shelby County Tennessee. He was the son of Joseph Marion Presley and Nancy Elizabeth Bozeman. He married Rosie Arrans on March 16, 1898 in Prentiss county Mississippi. To this union 9 children were born. Alice, Marion Eugene, George L., Mollie Irene, Cleveland Monroe, Esther, Bluett Balone, Wesley Woodrow and my grandfather, Willard Sharkey. James Frank died of septicemia. He got a thorn in his right hand and it became gangrenous and he died 2 days after entering Methodist Hospital.
