RICHARD LYNN HARRIS
Services have been set for Richard Lynn HARRIS, 71, of Petersburg, who died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at his home.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Cover Funeral Home, Dundee, where Blanchard Lodge 102, Free and Accepted Masons, will conduct a service at 8 tonight. Friends may then call Wednesday at the Petersburg United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until a memorial service at 11.
Pastor John Mehl will officiate. The body has been donated to the University Hospitals, Ann Arbor.

Born June 15, 1926, in Dundee, he was the son of Lloyd T. and Harriet (ROACH) HARRIS. He was married on Dec. 11, 1948, to Nancy J. ELDER at the home of her parents in Petersburg. He was employed by the former City Machine and Tool in Toledo and by the Chrysler-Jeep Corp. as a master die maker, retiring in 1991.

A navy veteran of World War II, he attained the rank of aviation ordnanceman third class. He also served at Private Grade 7 in the Michigan States Troops during the 1940s.
He was a member of Blanchard Lodge 102, Free and Accepted Masons, and the McDonald's Coffee Club in Dundee.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Steven A. of Tecumseh; two daughters, Diane L. HARRIS and Lynne A. CRANDALL, both of Ann Arbor; a brother, Lloyd T. HARRIS, Jr. of Toledo; a sister, Mrs. Gil (Marian) MARSHALL of Aransas Pass, Texas, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Byron, and two sisters, Gladys and Pauline.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
