She was first married the 30th of January 1914, at the age of 15, to Lawrence Talley, who left home in 1916 along with his brother-in-law, Claude Martin, to 'join the army.' However no record was ever found of them doing so, and they were never heard from again in Beulah's lifetime. A record of Lawrence having lived, married and raised a family in Birmigham, Alabama was discovered in 2010. Nothing of Claude Martin has yet been found.
Beulah and Ed Hood married the 20th of August 1918, and her next marriage was to William M. Pelfrey the 9th of September 1925. After William died in 1928 she married Thomas F. Shell to whom she was married at the time of her passing. She apparently had no children from any of the four marriages, for her obituary only listed step-children and siblings, no children.
