My Pappaw - Yes, I was a "daddy's girl" and also a "granddaddy's girl" I loved my Pappaw, we went to see him every Sunday after church. I used to sit on my Pappaw's lap for hours on end, everyone would tell me to get off of his lap (just teasing me) my pappaw would always say, "you can stay right where you are!"
I was only ten when you passed away, it was the first time someone I knew had died. I remember when we got to the farm there were so many people there because you were so loved and respected by everyone. I jumped out of the car and did what I always did, ran to find you. I couldn't find you so, I began asking everyone "where's my pappaw?" I never saw you again until the funeral and at that young age I thought death was final until I began to feel your spirit and having you visit me in my dreams were the best! I'll see you again sweet pappaw and I'm going to sit on your lap again so, get ready:)
