Cameron Kay Dominguez, 5 years old, of Midland passed away after a fatal car accident on February 27, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Patrick Payton, officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm in Crane, Texas.

Cameron went to Sam Houston Elementary where she was in kindergarten. She attended Dee Ann's Studio of Dance where she was working very hard on dances for an upcoming recital. She was so excited about the recital and performing on stage. Cameron and her brother attended church on Wednesday evenings at First Baptist where they were in the children's choir. Cameron loved going with her daddy to the park and swinging, she was daddy's little girl. She was fearless and dared to do the impossible!

Survivors include her mother and dad, Juri and Ricardo Dominguez of Midland; brother Eli Arp of Midland; grandparents, Marland and Sheri Squire of San Angelo, Juan and Lilly Dominguez of Crane, Bert and Teresa Heiser of Crane; uncles and aunts, Marc and Patty Heiser of Crane, uncle Johnny a hero and aunt Arlene Dominguez of Crane, uncle Kellen Squire of Charlottesville, VA, and Steve and Ashley Santos of Bowie; and numerous cousins.

The family would like to thank Joe James and Cecelia Camarillo who so graciously offered their home for the family to receive comfort and condolences for which they are in deep appreciation. Many thanks to DPS Trooper Webb for his heroic action at the scene of the accident along with the twenty or so unknown civilian responders who acted without concern for their own risk.

The family is asking for prayer for Cameron's uncle Johnny for his brave efforts which resulted with him now being in the burn treatment center in Lubbock .




Cause of death: smoke from a wildfire is blamed for the car accident which also injured 2 others
