Funeral services for Dr. Timothy A. Deibler, 59, of Cypress, will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Bruce Main, Tom Deibler and Drake Torp-Pedersen officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Dr. Deibler was born June 28, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and died Thursday, February 24, 2011 in a Cypress hospital.

Dr. Deibler received his Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. from Rice University. After serving in the pastorate, Tim focused his teaching skills on the academic community as a university instructor and a teacher and administrator in Classical and Christian schools.

Dr. Deibler's professional life, his participation in the local church, and his commitment to his wife and family all reflected his devotion to his Lord.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Carolyn J. Deibler of Cypress; his mother, Grace (Knapp) Deibler of Terrell; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Kathi Deibler of Ludlow, Vermont; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Delbert and Ivaline Parrott of Lufkin; sisters-in-law and husbands, Trish and Bruce Main of Chicago, Judy and Bud Maddux of Lufkin; brother-in-law and wife, Bert and Sally McKinney of Lufkin; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin C., and his sister, Lois.
