Marty James Adams, 60, died Monday, January 19, 2004 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born May 19, 1943 in Missouri to the late Van V. Adams and Lottie Speck Adams. He was disabled. He was a member of Faifield Presbyterian Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with the Rev. Billy Foley officiating. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Lane and Ann Adams, and Sheldon and Sharon Adams, all of Sherman, his former wife and mother of his children, Janice Adams of Sherman; four brothers, Charles Adams of Molton, AL, Ray Speck Adams, Prospect, KY, Roy Dean Adams of Texas and Bobby Neal Adams of Blue Springs; four grandchildren, Shayne Adams, Corey Adams, Karlee Adams and Jenna Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Mary Margaret Bell, Wayne Allen and Betty Louise Roberts; and three brothers, Hortis Adams, Jack Adams and Bill Adams.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Adams, Steve Adams, Jeff Adams, John Adams, David Allen and Evan Adams.
