Tx Tech University. US Army. Wife was Mary Helen Lindsey HeathNorman Hudson Heath, 94, of San Angelo and formerly of Lubbock, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, in Meadow Creek Nursing Facility.

Norman was born May 26, 1916 in Sulphur, Okla., to Mary Tom and Norman H. Heath Sr. After graduating from Lubbock High School, he continued his education by attending Texas Tech University and receiving a bachelor of education degree and a master of education degree. He served in the U.S. Army after which h e t au g ht band and math in Merkel, Ozona, Lubbock and Memphis, Texas. This was where he met and married his beloved Mary Helen. They literally met playing music together (piano and cornet) and continued their loving marriage for 64 years. He retired after 25 years with the city of Lubbock as the personnel director. They were active members of First United Methodist Church of Lubbock for 60 years before moving to San Angelo and then attending Community Hills Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Helen Lindsey Heath; his parents; and his brother, Parrish Heath.
