Mr. Meer was employed at Brand Sheet Metal Shop for 17 years prior to his illness. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 231 and Moose Lodge 33.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian; five daughters, Miss Mickey Gregg, Mrs. Marie Bullock, Mrs. Wanda Ruhl, all of Albany, Mrs. Shirley Manship, Lynn, and Mrs. Mary Newport, Bellflower, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. John Arrington, Columbus; two brothers, Fred and Bernard Meer, both of Muncie; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hensley and Mrs. Mary Irene Cox, both of Muncie; two step-sons, Roy Cox, Corbin, Ky., and Keith Cox, Gray, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Meeks Mortuary at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Leo McKinley officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and prior to services on Friday.
