Naomi is the daughter of Irvine Rollins and Edith (Laflamme) Rollins LeBert. She graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 1937.
She was married to Richard Sheffield Lyon for 62 years until his death on July 6, 2000.
Mrs. Lyon retired as a UNH Co-operative Extension Home Health Aide. She worked at the Sears Catalogue Department and in the early years of her marriage managed the Lyon Dog Kennels.
She was a member of Elks Emblem Club, Nashua Senior Center where she participated in numerous Seniors Shows. Mrs. Lyon also was a member of the Girl Scouts of America and Swift Water Council. She was a volunteer much of her time at the VA Hospital in Manchester and NH Veterans Home in Tilton.
She enjoyed dancing, singing, gardening, Bingo, embroidering, knitting, sewing, swimming, roller skating, ice skating (into her 80s), playing cribbage, kayaking with her children, grandchildren, and her neighbors. Her favorite things to do were to find 4 leaf clovers (anywhere she was) and make them into bookmarks, donating her proceeds to the Seniors Center of Nashua. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, taking nature walks with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lyon was a member of The Unitarian-Universalist Church of Nashua. She was a Sunday School teacher and a member of Woman's Fellowship and on the Board of White Wing School.
Naomi was predeceased by a son, Dana Warren Lyon, a granddaughter, Carla Turner, two sisters, Olla Rollins Pinette and Thelma Rollins Gosselin, four brothers, Irvine, Kenneth, Clayton and Gerald, a sister-in-law, Ethel Fiske, and two brothers-in-law, Arthur Clement and Everett Linscott.
Survivors include five sons and five daughters-in-law, Raymond and Judy Lyon of Woodbridge, VA, Clayton and Annette Lyon of Niceville, FL, Carl and Pauline Lyon of Mannassas, VA, Peter and Pamela Lyon of Nashua, and Mark and Donna Lyon of Antrim; three daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Daniel Memos of Merrimack, Martha Lyon-Terrell and John Terrell of Waterville, VT, and Judith and James B.
