Funeral services for Willie Johnson, 79, a retired farmer who died Sunday in West Monroe after a long illness, were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Sikes Baptist Church with the Rev. B. T. Durbin officiating. Burial was in the Cataline [sic County Line] Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Nettie Thornhill and Mrs. Harvey Beavers of Pineville, and Mrs. Johnny Roan and Mrs. Claudia Lawrence of West Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. G. P. Martin of Chatham, Mrs. Evie Smith and Mrs. Betty Antley of Monroe and Mrs. Lee Valentine of New Orleans; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
