Athens - Funeral services for E.L. (Shine) Barron, 69, of Athens, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hassell & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Mathes officiating.
Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Barron was found dead Wednesday afternoon at his home. Justice of the Peace C.C. Adrian returned a verdict of death from natural causes.
A native of Van Zandt County, he had lived in Athens 20 years. He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one brother, W.H. Barron of Athens and several nieces and nephews.
