George D. Fairhurst, 65, of Kailua, a retired Maui County Controller corporate controller and private pilot, died Saturday in Castle Hospital. Born in Bozeman, Mont., he is survived by wife Martha; sons Doug II and Ron; daughter Kim Mays; brother Bill; and three grandchildren. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. No flowers. Donations suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
