Hazel Mae Priddy Liscomb was the daughter of George Dalton Priddy and Etta Mae Dunn. Her mother became ill and died when she was only 3 and her younger brother, John Banister Priddy was 1. They lived with their paternal grandparents, John Banister Priddy and Susan Melissa Anderson Cannon after their mother passed away. Hazel married Richard F "Freddie" Lipscomb on June 16, 1936. They had two daughters - Kathy and Mary Ann...

Hazel was very well known to many in the Grapevine community in her having written a weekly newspaper article called "Thru the Grapevine" for The Grapevine Sun for over 25 years. It was said in the article written about her 25 years of working for the Sun (published Feb 1, 1981) by a co-worker "She did most anything there was to be done".

From the wonderful stories told by her family members about her, the same can be said in respects everything she did in life. She is remembered as a warm and loving person who was always happy to do "whatever was needed" to help.
