Lloyd K. Moon, 72, Canton, died Sunday, November 19, 2000, at his residence In Canton. Born July 9, 1928 in Clark County at Gregory Landing, he was the son of Willard Lee and Anna Lou Johnson Moon. He married JoAnn Ferguson in May 8, 1977 in Wayland. Mr. Moon was a past member of the Canton Eagles Lodge Aerie #1800 and a 25 year member of the Wayland Masonic Lodge. He served as an Alderman for the City of Canton for eight years. In his younger days he farmed in Clark County. He worked in the U.S. Post Office for twelve years. He owned and operated several businesses including D&M Electric; Country Liquor; JK Restaurant and the Tap Room. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. JoAnn Moon, Canton; four daughters, Mrs. Judith Dwyer, Louisiana; Mrs. Rul (Linda) Rodrigues, Chesterfield; Mrs. Willie (Lisa) Davis, Canton; Mrs. Tom (Julie) Lay, Canton; a sister, Mrs. Norma Daughtry, Canton; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter. Graveside services were held Tuesday, November 21, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bluff Springs Church Cemetery with Rev. Rebecca Dunger Peak officiating. Pallbearers were Willie Davis, Tom Lay, Rul Rodrigues, Larry Ferguson, Gail Ferguson and Harold Ferguson. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be mailed or left at Arnold's Funeral Home, 1100 White St., Canton, Mo. 63435.
