Mrs. Myrtle Ross, 77, Sioux City resident from 1920 until last September, died Monday in San Francisco after a brief illness. She had resided there with a daughter, Miss Mabel Ross. The body will be brought to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside. Mrs. Ross was born June 1, 1875, in Oskaloosa, Ia., and was married March 4, 1893, in Indianapolis, Ind., to William L. Ross. The couple resided at Audubon, Ia., Coleridge, Neb., and Lake Andes, S. D., before moving to Sioux City. Mr. Ross died June 23, 1946, in Sioux City. Surviving are seven sons, William E., Charles and Neal Ross, all of Sioux City, and Vern, Marvin, Alvin and Terrance Ross, all of San Francisco; five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Heslop and Mrs. Sylvan Johnson, both of Sioux City, and Miss Ross, Mrs. Terry George and Mrs. Ruby Worden, all of San Francisco; a brother, George Byers of Cleveland, O.; a sister, Mrs. Louis Dodge of Olympia, Wash.; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Ross, 77, longtime Sioux City resident who died Monday in San Francisco, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside. Rev. S. D. Huff of Glendale Baptist church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial park cemetery.
