James Boyd
PURDY, MO. - Services for James Ralph (Dan) Boyd, 47, Wichita, Kan., former Purdy resident who died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home at Monett. The Rev. Alvin Bennett will officiate. Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery, southeast of Purdy.
Mr. Boyd died following a long illness.
He was born in 1923 near Purdy. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyd of Purdy route 2 and had lived in this area for a number of years, moving to Wichita about 21 years ago. He had been employed by the Boeing Aircraft Company.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, are two daughters, Miss Connie Boyd and Miss Beth Boyd, both of the home; a son, Doug Boyd, also of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Gretchen Cameron, Purdy route 2, and Mrs. Ann Howerton, Wichita, Kan. and a brother, Robert Boyd Jr., Wichita, Kan.
