MRS. CECILIA C. RICKERL
Mrs. Cecilia C. Rickerl, 87, of 426 3rd Ave. N., was dead on arrival at Jane Lamb Hospital today.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Joseph Kokjohn officiating. There will be a prayer service preceding the Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Schmitz Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sugar Creek. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, with a parish rosary recited at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Donald Deidrich, Gregory and Mark Rickerl, Steve Mumm and Carl and David Kaup.
Mrs. Rickerl was born April 5, 1892, in Browns Station, to Joseph and Margaret Sterbenz Sterk. She married John F. Rickerl Feb. 19, 1912, at Sugar Creek. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Joseph, Walter, George and James, all of Clinton, John C. of Victorville, Calif., Robert L. of Philadelphia, and Raymond B. of Muscatine; five daughters, Rose Diedrich of Charlotte, Mrs. Charles (Florence) Kaup, Mrs. Marvin (Virginia) Mumm and Mrs. John (Alice) Pringle, all of Clinton, and Mrs. Richard (Leona) Blumer of Camanche; two brothers, John Sterk of Maquoketa and George Sterk of DeWitt; 55 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, a grandchild and a great-great-grandchild.
