Funeral services for Henry Kevin Brooks, age 43 of Jonesville, LA, were held at First Baptist Church of Jonesville on Saturday November 27, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Bro Gary Norris officiating. Interment followed at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville.
Kevin was born on October 26, 1967 in Natchez, MS to Joyonne and H.P. Brooks, Jr. He passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in Jonesville, LA. He was a lifelong resident of Jonesville, a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesville. Kevin was a loving son, brother, and friend. He was kindhearted, with a wonderful sense of humor, and was a loyal friend. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, H.P. Brooks, Jr.; and his grandparents, Alma and H.P. Brooks, Sr. and Georgia and Stanford Richardson.
Survivors include his mother, Joyonne Brooks; a brother, Kyle Brooks; a niece, Paige Brooks; a nephew, Devin Brooks; and special friend, Sherri Trisler.
Pallbearers will be Ron Riley, Roy Riley, Jr., Stan Richardson , Mark Hamilton, A.B. York, and Tom Williams.
