She was born in Gainesville Texas August 10, 1928.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Sarah Blankenship.
She is survived by her husband Charles W. Lee a retired Sante Fe Trainmaster; one daughter, Carol and Son-in-law Dan Strouf; sister, Kathryn Mann and Dr. Jimmy Mann; brother, Jim Blankenship and wife Suzy and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn married Charles W. Lee November 28, 1958 in Gainesville, Texas.
She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1945 and from Texas Woman's University (TSCW) in 1949 with a degree in education. She taught physical Education and biology in Dallas, Mercedes and Gainesville. She was also a counselor at Camp Waldemar in Kerrville, Texas. Carolyn was an avid golfer winning Women's club Championship at Silsbee Country Club eight years in a row. She was also a member of the women's area golf associations and First Methodist Church of Silsbee. Carolyn was on the Silsbee Parks Board and instrumental in obtaining the Knupple Park and was proud of her efforts in doing so.
