Mrs. A.L. Morris, 89, died at her home in Calhoun at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Born in McLean County January 15, 1864 she was of one of the oldest settlements of McLean County. She was a member of the Calhoun Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary Thomas, Owensboro, Mrs. Mable Morris, Akron,Ohio and Mrs. Kathryn Kellly, Calhoun and a granddaughter Mrs. Katie McLemore, Evansville, who was reared by Mrs. Morris, seven sons, D.P., Louisville, Virgil, Calhoun, D.C., Akron, A.A., Calhoun, J.A., Calhoun, Clifford, Evansville and Delbert, Akron and Robert, who was killed in World War I, several grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from Chapel of Muster Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. John Hammatt officiating. Burial was in Calhoun cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons.
