Thomas Francis Shields, 64, of Belmar, passed away on December 3, 2009 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born in Elizabeth, NJ to Francis and Dorothy, Thomas went on to proudly serve his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. His love of music was only surpassed by his love of family. He had an unforgettable sense of humor & personality, and will be missed by so many. Tom now lives in heaven with his recently departed granddaughter MaKayla. We love you, Tom.

Tom was predeceased by his father Francis and granddaughter MaKayla. He leaves his beloved mother Doris; wife Cynthia; his five children Tracey Schank, Christopher Shields, Ryan (& Amanda) Shields, Corey Shields, & Courtney Shields; his sisters Kathleen Shields, and Maureen (& David) Hosford; three grandchildren Ian, Tristen, & Zach; and his aunt Rose Brannigan.
