Mrs. Blanche D. Ware, 78, one of the early settlers of Murchison and who served as Postmistress at that point twenty years ago, died in Dallas Tuesday and will be buried at Red Hill cemetery near Murchison Thursday morning at 10:00 O'clock, Rev. Owen, Methodist pastor at Murchison, conducting the service. Mrs. Ware was making her home with her son, Vernon Ware, at the time of her death. She moved from Murchison to Dallas some two years ago, following the death of another son, Roy Ware at Murchison.
Mrs. Ware was one of the earlier residents of Murchison, moving to that place from Tennessee some thirty-five years ago following the death of her husband.
She was appointed Postmistress at Murchison by the late President Wilson.
She is survived by one son, a number of grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. E.F. Huddle of Murchison and three brothers, Walter, Frank and John Denton. All were present for the funeral.
