Sarah Geneva "Jen" Bittleston, 93, of Olympia, Wash. and formerly of Nampa, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2010 in Lacey, Wash.

Jen was born on December 11, 1916 in Plymouth, Ohio. She graduated from Olivet Nazarene College in Kankakee, Ill., and received her Library Science Degree from Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1945 she moved to Nampa and began working at NNC in the library, where she delighted in helping students with library and non-library concerns.

In 1948 she married Elmer E. Bittleston in Nampa where they made their home. Jen retired from NNC in 1981 in body, but not in spirit. Her husband preceded her in death in 1988. In 2005 she moved to Olympia, WA, where in true form she was a courteous helper until dementia stole her away.

Jen was gracious and a lady in all aspects of the word. She at last is at peace.
