Adelia Anna B Overturf age 87 of Richardson, Texas formally of Mena died Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She was born on Sunday, March 25, 1923 to Andrew Jackson and Elsie Durbin Wendt in Idabel, Oklahoma.

She was the wife of Leo Overturf and married him in southeast Oklahoma. After moving a few times, Leo developed a lively used auto business in the 50's and transitioning to aircraft sales and repair in the 60's establishing his own airport in Moore, Oklahoma. In the early 60's moving the family moved to Mena, Arkansas establishing Overturf Aircraft operation in Mena. Here she maintained the home for her family on the airfield for many years until her husband passed in 1973. She took work as a domestic in Oklahoma City for 20 plus years until retiring in 2006 returning to Mena for 4 years then moving to Richardson to live with her nephew Lee West.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leo Overturf; two sons Andy Overturf and Roy Dean Overturf; one brother Roy Wendt and one sister Jean West.

Survivors include one son Jerry Overturf of Mena; one sister Mabel Jo Williams of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren Brad Overturf of Richardson, Texas, Connie Overturf of Kansas City, Kansas, Sherri Ann Overturf of Little Rock and Lisa Gay Overturf of Mena; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at the Hall Funeral Service Chapel with Father Norbert Rappold as celebrant. Burial will be at held at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
