After extensive research, I believe this is Honora "Anna" O'Connor, who was granted a divorce from Abram M Pettengill in Jan 1896. She was born in Ireland, and he in Illinois. On the 1900 census, Abram and his new wife Ida lived in Lookout, WY and he worked for the railroad. By 1920 he was a widower and lived in Cotopaxi, and was buried in Canon City after his passing.
I no longer have the source but I recall a story that after Anna and her husband separated, she ran a boarding house in Fountain. Anna found out that Mrs Steen, a boarder, was allegedly having an affair with Mr Pettengill. The pair married shortly after Anna's divorce was granted. When she allegedly committed suicide, the town's people suspected foal play, as she was free of Abram.
