Funeral for Robert Edwin Clift, 94, 301 B. Street, Cement, Ok., will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 1985 in the Cement Christian Church with Charles Roberts of Chickasha, officiating, and assisted by Alvin Roberts of Cyril
He was born on February 9, 1891 at Edgar Springs, Phelps county, Mo. and died Wednesday December 25, 1985 in Grady Memorial Hospital at Chickasha. He married Daisy Amelia Hulsey November 20, 1969 in the Chickasha Church. Mr. Clift was formerly a farmer and oil worker, retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Cement Christian church and was an active member of the Cement Senior Citizens where he helped with fund raising drives and was supportive in many ways. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Clift jr. and Martha Heavin; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of the home; five step-sons, George Hulsey of Elgin, Ok.; Calvin Hulsey of Worthington, W.V.; Jay Hulsey of Waukeegan, Ill.; Woody Hulsey of Marlow, Ok.; and Tommy Hulsey of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Clarence and Clyde Clift, both of Cement; one sister, Alpha Harris of Chickasha; numerous nieces and nephews; 18 step-grandchildren; 12 great step grandhildren.
Burial will be in the Cement Cemetery under the direction of the Cyril Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the Dixon Chapel in Cement.
Note: Robert Edwin Clift married March 1, 1920 Janice Ethel Roberts, who was born February 26, 1896 and died January 22, 1961. He married second Daisy Amelia Hulsey November 20, 1969. He had no children.
