Herman Joseph "Joe" Scott, 69, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010, in Wichita Falls. He was born on May 13, 1941, in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late John Scott and Alice Marie Scott. On December 22, 1962, he married Wanda Carol Ewing in Tiguana, Mexico. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. Joe was a member of the D.A.V. and was a longtime volunteer at the Wichita Theatre where he was known as the "Popcorn Man." He also drove the bus at Central Baptist Church in Wichita Falls for many years. Joe loved the Lord and loved singing to the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Scott of Wichita Falls; two children, Lisa Scott Jackson and husband Dwayne of Wichita Falls, and Kevin Joseph Scott and wife Stephanie of Iowa Park; five grandchildren, Christopher Scott Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Amanda Jackson, Mark Scott and Eddie Joe Scott; a host of friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Scott; and one grandson, David Jackson.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rod Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Cheney, Jeff Jackson, Gerald Jackson, Byron Jackson, Chris Jackson and Aaron Jackson.
