From LJ's son, John Dane Burton
He was a member of the greatest generation. He lived through 2 world wars, and the great depression, living a life of integrity and honor, with good morals and values. He was the type of man we see too little of today. He was a church leader and business leader; but most of all he was a great Dad, with whom I had far too little time.
Married at time of death to Mary Jean Barnett Burton. Widower of Mildred Burton, also buried in Memorial Park near LJ and Mary Jean.
LJ's obituary can be found in the Waco Tribune Herald at the time of his death.
LJ and Mary Jean had one son, John Dane Burton, born Sept. 5, 1964, who is married and is a pharmacist in Waco, TX.
Brothers:
William Verne Burton (1890 - 1929)*
Joseph Dane Burton, Sr. (1892 - 1941)*
Douglas Bradford Burton (1903 - 1981)*
Otto Swenson Burton (1894-1942)
Sister:
