Chillicothe Constitution Tribune July 27, 1982


Robert R Bishop, 14546 South 71 Highway, Kansas City, died Monday at a rest home in Kansas City. He was 84.

Mr Bishop, longtime Chillicothe resident, was born Sept. 3, 1897, at Avalon, a son of Ward and Elizabeth Chittick Bishop. He was reared in the Avalon and Chillicothe communities, moving to Kansas City 10 years ago. He was retired from the Chillicothe City Street Department.

Survivors are a brother, W.W. Bishop, Kansas City and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Wednesday morning at the chapel of the Lindley Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Holcomb, officiating. Burial will be in the Burnside cemetery south of Chillicothe. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 o'clock this evening at the funeral home.
