" I believe Booker's (granite) marker, obviously made years later, is incorrect. The Grainger County Archives holds a very slim estate settlement file for Booker, which is only the commission's report laying out the widow's dower, but it is dated 1890. Also there is an administrator's bond dated August 1890 for G. W. Rhea to administer Booker's estate, which usually occurred within a few months of the death."
