Hester Kirkpatrick Olson Anderson, of Route 1, Brownsboro, Henderson County, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, 28 September 1977, at a Tyler, Smith County, Texas hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was 85.

Mrs. Anderson was born on Monday, 18 April 1892, to James Edward Kirkpatrick and Sarah Frances Goodwin Kirkpatrick, in Athens, Henderson County, Texas. She was the first of four children born to this union.

She was united in marriage to Clifford William Olson on Sunday, 29 December 1912, in Tyler, Smith County, Texas. This relationship ended around 1928. They were married about 16 years. To their union was born one child: son Noel Gordon Olson.

Hester was subsequently united in marriage to George Pat Anderson on Tuesday, 08 October 1929, in Tyler, Smith County, Texas. Mr. Anderson survives Hester. They were married 48 years. To their union was born one child: son Billy P Anderson.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Brownsboro.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter Lena Ruth Anderson, brother Jessie Hugh Kirkpatrick, brother Roy Hayes Kirkpatrick, infant son Billy P. Anderson, and several other infant children.

She is survived by her husband, George Pat Anderson of Brownsboro, Henderson County, Texas, son Noel Gordon Olson of Tyler, Smith County, Texas, step-son Earl Clayton Anderson of Brownsboro, step-daughter Flora Iline Anderson Cooper of Summerville, Dorchester County, South Carolina, brother Alfred Henry Kirkpatrick of Whitehouse, Smith County, Texas, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, 01 October 1977, at the Rock Hill Baptist church with Reverend Tom Nipp officiating. Pallbearers were Roy Edward Kirkpatrick, Larry Kirkpatrick, Al Kirkpatrick, Bolen Clayton, J.Y. Eberheart and Nelson Kidd.

Interment occurred at Rock Hill Cemetery of Brownsboro, Henderson County, Texas.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home of Tyler, Smith County, Texas.
